Description

A near-faithful remake of an early 20th-century cotton work jacket from Sam’s personal collection. Cut here in breathable herringbone linen woven by Magee in Donegal, Ireland. The open weave allows air to move freely while maintaining structure, giving subtle texture and an easy drape suited to warmer days.

Unisex in design, the fit is intentionally oversized on women and more true to size for men. Finished with 28L Italian horn buttons, three patch pockets, and flat felled seams throughout for a clean interior and a relaxed yet disciplined silhouette that softens beautifully with wear.

Main Fabric

Irish Rustic Linen Herringbone

Irish Rustic Linen Herringbone
Spun and woven in Donegal, Ireland by Magee, this rustic copper-hued herringbone linen catches light and shadow beautifully, reading almost as a solid from a distance. One of the oldest recorded textile patterns, the V-shaped herringbone has roots in ancient Egypt. Here, its broken zigzags are reimagined in breathable linen, creating a rich, textured finish. Established in 1866, Magee continues to be at the forefront of natural fiber weaving, combining heritage techniques with contemporary practices to create one-of-a-kind fabrics.
