Description
A pared-back counterpart to the Technician Shirt, the Lester draws from the same 1940s workwear foundation. This iteration removes the flap pockets, creating a more traditional button-down silhouette while retaining the balanced proportions and utilitarian spirit of the original reference.
Named for Lester, a painting by Jamie Wyeth at the Brandywine Museum, the style takes inspiration from the subject’s understated yet distinct shirt and features a pointed vintage collar, triangle side gussets, and shirring at the cuffs rather than pleats–a construction detail emblematic of pre-1940s work shirts.
Cut here in a refined micro pinstripe cotton from Luigi Parisotto in Italy, the fabric offers a crisp, lightweight hand with a clean drape and subtle structure.
