Description
The sweater of all sweaters. A timeless ribbed fisherman’s knit originally inspired by a black-and-white photograph of modernist sculptor Constantin Brâncuși.
Long associated with maritime tradition, fisherman’s knits were historically prized for their resilience and warmth, with patterns that often carried symbolic meaning. Ribbed stitches were said to represent ropes and safety at sea.
Here, that tradition is reinterpreted in a substantial yet breathable hemp yarn that lends the sweater remarkable durability while remaining comfortable in warm weather. The weight of the knit allows it to drape naturally on the body, creating a relaxed silhouette with quiet structure.
The yarn is spun in Italy and each sweater is handknitted in Bolivia, giving every piece subtle variations that reflect the hand of its maker.
